In the growth process people lost their contact with nature and its unwritten rules.

Scared of the level of unawareness, they considered necessary to create a doctrine of behaviours that would force the masses to act in a specific way, otherwise they were punished by the authorities depending on the gravity of the violation. Unfortunately the rulers were unconscious too and designed that principles based on temporary and often personal needs, with the consequence that people belonging to a higher level of the society could be exempt from the standard regulations. A random citizen was punished if caught stealing food, even if forced by starvation, and an emperor was celebrated for stealing an entire country.

This imbalance drove humans to commit the worst atrocities for a long time.
