Corruption for breakfast and the day begins,
flags and values exchanged for a handshake.
A lifetime in compromise has no worth
where the tie isolates the poisoned head.
Lost childhood for the important delegate
and the name forgotten in piles of papers.
Cut secular trees for new glass skyscrapers
and we’ll never know what the rising sun is.
Rules multiplying in the ritual of death
spoil the spontaneous dance of all cells.
Governments live on violence and lies
until people take power over their lives.
